John Searles is a New York Times bestselling and award-winning author of four novels. His books have been published in over a dozen languages and have been voted “Best of the Year” or top picks by Boston Globe, Entertainment Weekly, Salon and the American Library Association. A frequent contributor to The New York Times and The Washington Post, John was a top editor at Cosmopolitan for two decades, first hired by Helen Gurley Brown.
Mary Kay Andrews is the New York Times bestselling author of thirty-three novels and a cookbook. Her novel, SUMMERS AT THE SAINT is currently in development with Universal Studios. She was writer and producer of Hallmark Studio’s 2019 Christmas movie MERRY AND BRIGHT. In June St. Martin’s Press will publish her 34th novel ROAD TRIP.
A graduate of the University of Georgia’s Henry W. Grady School of Journalism, the author had a fourteen-year career in newspapers, including ten years as a reporter for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. She left newspapers in 1991 and her first mystery, EVERY CROOKED NANNY, was published under her real name, Kathy Hogan Trocheck, in 1992. In 2002, she assumed the pen name Mary Kay Andrews with the publication of Savannah Blues. In 2004, Hissy Fit became her first New York Times bestseller, followed by nineteen more consecutive novels to make the list.
She is the creator and co-host of Friends & Fiction, a weekly web show and podcast with an online community of more than 335,000 members worldwide.
Married to her high school sweetheart and a mother and grandmother, she and her husband divide their time between their restored hundred-year-old home in Avondale Estates, GA, and their restored beach cottage on Tybee Island, GA.
