CELEBRATING THE

Dear Potential Sponsor,
It is an honor to help steward the legacy of the Amelia Island Book Festival(AIBF) as we celebrate our 25th anniversary—a milestone made possiblethrough the kindness and support of this remarkable community.
With so many nonprofits doing important work in Nassau County, we aregrateful you are considering supporting ours. If you choose to become asponsor, our commitment is to promote you and your business fully andensure the partnership adds real value. Sponsorship details follow.
Literacy shapes every aspect of a person’s future. As a mother of twin fourthgraders, I’m especially focused on early literacy, knowing high schoolgraduation can be predicted by a student’s reading level at the end of thirdgrade. In January 2025, our county’s dashboard revealed that 32% of thirdgraders are not reading at grade level—a challenge that makes AIBF’smission more urgent than ever.
AIBF’s programs directly build literacy skills in children andadults across Northeast Florida. And personally, the Festivalreawakened my own love of reading, reminding me howtransformative books can be.
A bit of our story: Our first festival took place in 2001, originallyknown as the Book Island Festival and believed to be the firstliterary festival held on an island. Our founding mission—“keeping the joy of books alive”— is carried forward throughauthor events, community programs, and our cornerstoneAuthors in Schools initiative.

Since then, AIBF has grown into one of Northeast Florida’s mostcherished literary traditions—welcoming bestselling authors, uplifting emerging voices, and creating countless opportunities forreaders and writers to connect. Our board of directors andcommittee chairs are all dedicated volunteers, and we employ onlyan accountant, tech support, and marketing professional on a parttime basis—allowing the majority of our funding to go directlytoward literacy initiatives.
Our Authors in Schools program remains our most impactful initiative. Thanksto supporters like you, tens of thousands of books have been placed directlyinto students’ hands. Last year, more than 80% of Nassau County publicschool students participated, along with private and homeschool students.Teachers tell us the program sparks excitement, parents say it inspirescuriosity, and students say it makes them feel seen.
As we look ahead, your support helps us:
-
Expand Authors in Schools
-
Fund scholarships through our Short Story Contest
-
Provide meaningful literary programming
-
Keep the Festival free and accessible to the community

We are excited to mark our silver anniversary with a special Gala on Friday, February 27, 2026, at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island, featuring bestsellingauthors Kate Quinn, Claire Cook, Philipp Meyer, Kristy Woodson Harvey, MaryAlice Monroe, Ashley Elston, and Honorary Chairman Kevin Powers.
