The sudden death of her brother Jim, the subsequent discovery of a half-sister living in Tuscany, and the murder of Jim’s coworker Rodney, upend Catherine (Cat) Emerson’s tranquil life. Since Cat refuses to fly, her Tuscan sister Luna Bianchi and her adopted son Nico, travel to Amelia Island, Florida to meet Cat.

Cat becomes entangled in the investigation into Rodney’s murder and possible illegal activities at Jim’s company. Later, she takes a cruise ship from Florida to Italy to visit Luna and Nico. During their tour of Sicily, Luna is called back to her home in Siena by the police. The next day Luna vanishes. Will Cat face her greatest fear and fly from Sicily to Tuscany to find her sister before it’s too late?

Originally from Toronto, Canada, Louise has set her four novels on Amelia Island, FL where she lives with her husband Mike. Her travels through Tuscany and Sicily—and her enjoyment of Italian food—are highlighted in Her Tuscan Sister. When COVID-19 occurred, she decided to incorporate the pandemic into the novel and set the story in a time when the world was getting back to normal.
