I was born in Portsmouth, England (No, I'm not telling the date!). I'm a product of a convent boarding school in the 1950's and early 60's. You can probably guess I received an old-fashioned education. Lots of humanities and not much science. But I’m working hard not to act like an old lady! I’ve even made a few Tiktok videos: They're not the best you've ever seen, but I have fun making them!
I've lived in the USA for over 40 years. I met and married my American husband in Europe. He was the first American I ever met and I thought his accent was so cute. Now, of course, I don’t even hear it! I live in upstate New York, which is one of the most beautiful places on the earth.

I began writing Regency Romances in 2018 after the death of my beloved sister who was in the convent with me all those years ago. We used to read the novels of Georgette Heyer (still my inspiration) under the covers with a torch after lights out. My books are dedicated to her.
I'm particularly proud of the Regency Romance I'm proposing. It's the first ever (as far as I know) to have a main character on the autism spectrum. Of course, it wasn't called that then. He's just considered a little odd. Readers have told me I got it right, and that he reminds them of a relative or someone they know. That pleases me no end!
Apart from writing, I enjoy my garden, cooking, reading and having tea parties with my grandchildren. I'm so lucky to be able to do what I like in a lovely place that is my adopted home.
