Book Title:

RESPONSIBLE KIDS: 6 Steps to Creating Them in an Irresponsible World

Author Bio:

While my husband and I were raising 3 daughters, I completed my undergraduate degree. Then, for 27 years, I taught English to middle and secondary students. While teaching, I earned a master’s degree in School Counseling (K – 12) and a doctorate in Professional Development. Subsequently, I coached teachers and taught college students at Frostburg State University in Maryland where I am now Professor Emerita.
I have been blessed with 11 grandchildren with whom I spend a great deal of quality time. Currently, I teach parent and teacher seminars as well as workshops and courses in interpersonal communication. My course, The Art of Mindful Communication, is offered through Flagler College’s Lifelong Learning Program.
I have published and presented several research studies on teaching and learning, and an article on ways teachers can promote responsible behaviors in the classroom. My recent book, Responsible Kids: 6 Steps to Creating Them in an Irresponsible World, has received the FWA Silver Award and the Mom’s Choice Gold Award for excellence.
