2023 Short Story Writing Contest

It's January 1st!  You wake up to a new year.  But wait...you feel different.  

You are different.  You have an amazing super power.  

What is it and how will you use it to make the world a better place?

The Sky's the Limit!!   We look forward to reading your short story!!

​Eligibility:

  • Must be a Nassau County, FL resident in Middle or High School

Key Dates:

  • March 1st - Applications can be submitted anytime between January 1st and no later than March 1, 2022 by 5:00pm

  • April 29th - Awards Ceremony

Requirements:

  • Create a 500-1000 word story, double-spaced, 12-point Times Roman font in MS Word.

  • Your story can be fiction or non-fiction.

  • Story must include Name, Email Address, Grade, School, Teacher's Name, and Title on Front Page.

  • Applications must meet all criteria in order to be considered.

Application Instructions:

  1. Create your 500-1000 word story, double-spaced, 12-point
    Times Roman font in MS Word.

  2. Download and complete the Release Form below

  3. Locate a headshot photo of yourself

  4. Complete the 2022 Short Story Application with items above.

  5. You will be able to submit your materials on January 1, 2023.
