Mary Flynn is an award-winning author of fiction, non-fiction, and poetry. Her writing is an imaginative mix of humor, pathos, and irony that explore the human experience, often with a fun or surprising twist. Mary’s debut novel, “Margaret Ferry,” won the Gold Medal in fiction, as well as two silver medals. She won a silver medal for her non-fiction book, “Disney’s Secret Sauce – the little-known factor behind the business world’s most legendary leadership,” and was a Writer’s Digest poetry winner.
Mary was a full-time staff writer for Hallmark Cards in Kansas City, a writer/editor for the leading provider of guided reading materials used in the U.S. public school system, and a celebrated conference speaker for Disney Institute, where she appeared before three-quarters-of-a-million people, often sharing the platform with speakers such as Tony Robbins and Malcolm Gladwell.
Mary’s observational humor has appeared in the Sunday New York Times, and other dailies and magazine, and she is published in the celebrated Saturday Evening Post Anthology of Great Fiction. She currently has an on-air role with Salem radio.
