R.C. Chizhov grew up in India and moved to New York in 2005 to pursue her higher education in at Columbia University. She spent fourteen years in the financial services industry before realizing her childhood dream of being an author. Now a resident of Florida, RC writes humorous and heart-tugging stories where anything is possible. She’s a member of SCBWI, Making Room for Rhyme and South Asian Scribe Squad.

Her picture books, The Lion in Your Heart and Emu Town Stories have won several awards including: Finalist 2022 International Book Awards, Winner 2022 Literary Titan Gold Award, Winner 2021 Story Monsters Approved, Finalist 2021 Females of Fiction Award, Semi-Finalist 2021 Indies Todays Award. She is also a recipient of the FLSCBWI Mirrors and Windows Scholarship.
