2023 Author in Schools Author

Julie Gonzalez is the author of the rollicking read-aloud, How Could a Bear Sleep Here? (Holiday House, 2018). She was born in Maine, grew up in New Jersey, and currently lives in New York with her husband, two children, and pet rabbit. She holds a degree in Education from the College of New Jersey and, before becoming an author, was a teacher and fitness instructor. With every school visit, library presentation, and book store appearance she makes, Julie hopes to inspire a love of reading in children.
