Kristine Ochu is the author of “Campfire Confessions,” an International Amazon Best-Seller and her Northwoods infamous children’s book, “No Pooping on the Dock! The Owl and the Looney, Whacky, Crazy and Naughty Ducks.” She is an International Speaker and Founder of “The Night of a Woman’s Soul- Creating Your Amazing Life” workshops that empowers women to live their best lives. She was a 2022 Global Woman of the Year Finalist for the Global Woman’s organization for the empowering messages in her novel, “Campfire Confessions,” and her contributions to creating positive change in the world, building community and sharing her skills to help other people through her UNICEF campaign for the children of Ukraine, and various charities including the Woman’s Ovarian Cancer Symptom Awareness, the Winged Freedom Raptor Hospital, the Northwoods Humane Society and various Library Foundations. In addition, she was recognized for freely offering her workshops and proactively sharing motivational and positivity tools through social media during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Kristine is a former International Human Resource Executive with an MAIR from the University of Minnesota and a log-rolling champion from Hayward, WI where she continues to support the sport as a volunteer coach. Kristine is also a screenwriter with over 6 screenplays, and a member of Harvard Square Scriptwriters, Women in Film and Video, The Woman’s Global Club, Amelia Island Writers, Amelia Indie Authors, and various community groups. Kristine has appeared on First Coast Living News, CBS Duluth, MN and featured in various magazines, radio and podcast shows including South Island Living Magazine, Global Woman’s Magazine, Sawyer County Record, Big Blend Radio, Boston Citywide Blackout, Cyrus Webb Conversations Live, WRLS and WOJB radio. Kristine is an avid hiker, kayaker, tennis player and explorer and incorporates her love of adventure into all her stories. She lives with her husband and their rescue golden retrievers, and splits her time between Amelia Island, FL and Hayward, WI.
Kristine loves to share her journey of writing, "Campfire Confessions", and meeting with Book Clubs virtually or in-person to discuss the empowering themes woven throughout the book such as embracing self-care, letting go of past mistakes and learning how to forgive. Just some of the challenges her characters face. She can speak at small or large events and bring her knowledge in the area of personal development, empowerment, communication, story-telling and writing! She enjoys working with non-profits and loves building community.
