Mary Ann Miller is a native Floridian, art educator, professional artist, book illustrator, author and creator of handmade books. Her work in transparent watercolor has been recognized throughout Florida and Europe. She taught elementary school art in Jacksonville for 26 years before retiring. She is active in the Jacksonville Artists Guild and Jacksonville and Florida Watercolor Societies.

For nearly 30 years she has traveled to Europe sketching and following in the footsteps of artists such as Van Gogh, Monet and Matisse. She has published four books of these watercolor sketches, her “Travels with a Blue Vase” series. Her books can be seen in her Etsy shop, BlueVaseBooks.

She teaches classes in Travel and Cafe Sketching, Bookbinding and art classes for adults with special needs. She has taken groups of artists to France three times.
